Lagos Are You Ready For Nigeria’s Biggest Rock Concert Rocktober Fest ?

Rock Fest (Rock music festival) is the biggest Rock Music event because it is the first of its kind ever in Nigeria.

ROCKTOBER which holds on the 24th of October at Freedom Park, Marina, Lagos Island, is put together by a team of young value driven individuals called RockNation NG.

RockNation Nigeria, is an entertainment company dedicated to the promotion of Rock Music in Nigeria as well as making it mainstream and exploring the commercial viability of the said genre. The company has been in existence for the past 2 years and in that short time has organized three major rock events tagged ‘Metal & Romance’, which discovered and promoted several rock bands that have been active partners in other rock related events.

Due to the huge success of the ‘Metal & Romance’ events which have become a household name in the Nigerian Rock Community, RockNation decided to end the year with a festival ‘ROCKTOBER’, a festival dedicated to celebrating the growth of the genre in Nigeria.

The event will feature about 20 bands from around the country as well as other activities such as a black carpet entrance, merchandise (original Rock Tee-shirts, hand bands, footwear etc.), body art, gothic make-up, hair styling and other rock related items by various vendors and competitions (air guitar, body art, scariest make-up).

Preceding the festival was an online competition tagged ‘Rock Challenge’ which involved contestants recording a video of themselves performing any popular rock song. These videos and pictures can be viewed on our Instagram and Facebook page.
