Most of us don’t push the clothes age barrier nearly as far, but even a tasteful fashionista may not always know how to dress appropriately as she moves past 35, 40 and beyond. How do you know when it’s time to lose which look? Here’s our outfits you’re too old to wear:
Short Skirts
Avoid miniskirts or short shorts, especially with Uggs. A skirt should be an inch above or an inch below the knee; tiny shorts are only for the beach. And if it’s warm enough to bare your legs, ditch the boots.
Crop Tops
Crop tops are for ladies with sexy flat stomach, leave these “shirts” to the young folks.
Denim Jacket
Matured women should avoid super-low-rise, torn, distressed denim especially when it is embellished with rhinestones or embroidery on the pockets, shudder or characters like Mickey Mouse are patched on the demin.
Ripped Jeans
Ripped jeans are nice on young teenage girls with smooth skin, please if you are above 40, give them to your grand daughter.
Gladiator Sandals
This type of sandals doesn’t look good on every woman, it is one trend better left to the younger crowd.
Transparent Clothes
Transparent cloths are not for older women, do not be mistaken with the concept of transparent clothes and airy pieces of clothing. If a part of a blouse or a dress is designed in chiffon or lace, this may become a wonderful accent to your femininity. If however, you put on a fully transparent dress, you go to an entirely different category of women, so do not do it.
