Do you hate getting up for morning workout? Well, too bad! I wish there were better ways! But for some reasons we cannot totally rule out morning exercise because of its benefits and that’s what this article seeks to unveil.
Let’s look at a few benefits of morning exercise that might not be a good idea to miss out from, should you always skip morning exercises.
- Morning Exercise Burns up those calories
A recent study suggests that you can burn up to 20 percent more body fat by exercising in the morning before your first meal. Just don’t wait until lunchtime to refuel. According to Cristina Rivera; a registered dietitian and a board certified sports nutritionist–getting a meal early before you sit down at your desk to start your day will jump-start your metabolism and keep your appetite under wraps to reduce your chance of overeating later on. That’s what morning exercise helps you to achieve-the early you burn up fat the easier it is to refuel—and in so doing, you just eat at the right time and the right quantity.
- Your metabolism gets a quick boost!
You burn more calories throughout the day when you do a morning workout than you would if you did an evening workout at a similar intensity, Berman, a personal fitness trainer says. So without doubt, exercise can boost your metabolic rate. The degree depends on your current fitness level and the kind of activity you choose.
- Your skin will naturally glow.
Because exercise is known with flushing out toxins through the excretion of sweats from the skin, your skin will naturally glow for the rest of the day after you have burnt a good amount of lingering toxins out of your body.
- Your hormones will work to your advantage
According to Melih F. Cologlu; a sponsored athlete and fitness model; in early morning hours, crucial hormones (testosterone) that help build muscles mass are elevated in the body. By exercising in the morning, you are taking advantage of these naturally circulating hormones as they are peaking rather than later in the day when they are lower.
- You maximise your strength in the morning hours
It is easier to follow high-volume training system sections in the morning when your strength is refreshed for the day than in the evening when the day’s activity has exhausted and weighed on you. For example, is easier to do a triset or more commonly, some structural Yoga Asana poses early in the morning than in the evening when you are already exhausted or might not even be in the right frame of mind to tedious routines.
Hope you’ve been able to pick one or two tips out of the above, if so, then make sure to put them to use!
