Calabar being a beautiful southern Nigerian state, and with it’s beautiful landmarks, I’d share a few places I think you would enjoy visiting.
- Marina Resorts: The Marina Resort in Calabar sits on a historical site, the water mouth of Calabar. It stands near old slave trade sites. The Marina Resort is a preserved historical site and recreation center. Here you will find the iconic slave history museum, hotel, restaurant; night club, a carousel for the children and beautiful views of the Calabar River.
- Tinapa Lake Side Resort: This is one of the well-known of all of attractions in Nigeria. Tinapa; tourism and business resort cum free trade zone located about 45 minutes north of Calabar city. Tinapa houses an entertainment strip with a casino, an 8-screendigital cinema, children’s arcade, restaurants, a mini amphitheater, a night club and pubs. There is also an artificial tidal lake that feeds from the Calabar River, and an amusement park.
- Kwa Falls: Kwa Falls is a spectacular waterfall located in a narrow, steep gorge on the headwaters of the Kwa River. The natural waters eternally fall through the mounds of igneous rocks of tropical musing. Kwa River where Kwa Fall cascades down resistant basement rocks is located in the Oban division of the Cross River National Park. It is found in Anegeje Village in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State, about 25 kilometers from Calabar on a good rural road. The nearby Kwa River Sand Beach is recommended for an afternoon’s peaceful relaxation.
