Apples are my favourite fruit!! They’re so crnchy and portable, and are great for a quick sugar fix. It’s almost rare to visit a home and not see at least one apple nowadays, and this makes me glad. You can eat them by themselves, put them in a salad, or cook them into a sauce or bake them into a pie.

  1. There are more than 7,500 varieties of apples grown around the world. Can you imagine? Even if you decided to try every single one of them, it would take you more than 20 years if you ate one a day!
  2. Apples ripen up to 10 times faster when you leave them out then when you refrigerate them. This is actually tough for me because I hate to eat cold apples.
  3. 25 percent of an apple’s volume is made up by air. This is why apples float.
  4. It takes roughly 36 apples to make one gallon of apple cider.
  5. There is actually a medical condition where people are afraid of apples. It’s called Malusdomesticaphobia and may also be the fear of eating apples.
