Tips For Picking A Wedding Bouquet
A bouquet is an attractively arranged bunch of flowers, especially one presented as a gift or carried at a ceremony.
There are different types of bridal bouquets. They range from round, modern, cascade to arm sheaf etc which you can choose from. Most times, well informed brides choices are made depending on taste, dress style, height and of course, the theme of the wedding.
Bridal Bouquet Types
Round bouquet: This kind of bouquet is usually made using large flowers such as roses, loosely arranged peonies, and tied with ribbons.
Modern bouquet: These kinds are made of glamorous flowers and tropical foliage.
Cascade bouquet: This is also called the fountain, waterfall or shower bouquet. It is round at the top and has a stream of flowers over the bride’s hand for a cascading effect.
Arm sheaf bouquet: This is also known as the presentation bouquet. It has a long stem that the bride can hold on to with her inner arm. Orchids, long-stemmed roses and a few others are flowers you can use for this purpose.
Matching Bouquet to Body size and Dress Style
The general rule is that the larger the dress the larger the bouquet. However you must also consider your height too. Taller brides should use longer bouquet arrangements like cascade and arm sheaf with fuller flower groupings, and more compact bouquets will suit a shorter bride so that both dress and bouquet are complementary.
