Slick Is So Last Year
With the introduction of liquid lipsticks and more matte foundation ranges, going matte is one of the biggest beauty trends that will cross over to the new year.
Whereas previously matte lipsticks were chalky and unflattery the recent innovations in liquid lipsticks are now creamy, long-lasting and give rich velvety colours.
Going matte is the logical beauty decision to make. Especially because the weather in Nigeria is humid and a matte face of makeup ultimately means your makeup will stay in place longer and you would have little or no reason to reapply or touch up. The trick achieving this look is getting a matte foundation and a good setting spray. For this, we recommend the Maybelline NY Dream Matte Mousse Foundation and the Zaron Perfect Finish Spray.
If you want to add some shimmer to your look as opposed to finishing with matte lips, use a lip gloss. We recommend the Bobbi Brown Shimmer lip gloss in Bare Sparkle.
